About Beni Madhav Temple :

The Beni Madhav temple is the Hindu temple dedicated to the Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of the Lord Vishnu. Due to the presence of the idols of the God Vishnu and his wife Lakshmi ,the temple is also known as Lakshmi Narayana temple.
It is believed that the temple is the same place where eminent Guru of Vaishnavas of Bengal, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has also paid homage.The Beni Madhav Temple is one of the 12 Madhav Temples which is located in the Prayag. According to the Padma Puran, he is the main god of the Prayag.
According to the temple history, Guru of Vaishnavas in Bengal, Chaithanya Mahaprabhu had visited Beni Madhav Temple in Allahabad once. He was a devotee of Lord Mahavishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. After his arrival, pilgrims all over India started visiting this temple.after renovation of this temple its outer shape looks modern.
